How pinteresting is……. thinking about the fete?

In loo of no-one coming forth in the interctive series… How Pinteresting….. I thought I would show you what I have been thinking about. Our upcoming school fete.
It isn’t until November, but the time really flies from now and trying to enlist others to help slows down but also makes much more enjoyable the whole making process.
In my pinterest board fetes and gift ideas I have collected lots of ideas together.
Please go and have a look, then come back (or comment there if you like) telling me which things you would be interested in at a school fete. I would love your feedback…..

I like the simple shopping bags and wonder if they could be made as a ‘swimming’ bag with a waterproof lining? My daughter-in-law is searching for suchlike but no success, so far!
Great idea! Would they be better with a zipper for that?

I think a zipper would restrict the size of towel etc that could be stuffed into the bag. Maybe a loop and button would be better and give the option of closing the bag if needed. There are lots of fabrics with a sea or beach theme but what would you use to line it to make it waterproof?

Good point about the zipper.
As to fabric choice….. IKEA have some lovely spotty plastic like fabric that would work well. I might even look into good quality plastic table cloths.

Hey Ally, I haven’t visited for a while as we’re in the thick of renovating our place! I was thinking about how I’m going to have to choose some light fittings eventually and that’s gonna be tough cos when I’ve looked around I haven’t seen many I like, then I thought maybe you could do a post for me… “How pinteresting is… pendant lighting”!
I’ll need one over the dining table, one over the breakfast bar/end of the kitchen bench (kitchen and dining are both in the same room) as well as a plain ceiling sconce in the middle of the kitchen. It’s a nice light ‘sun-room’ facing north, eventually with a jarrah deck outside. Jarrah floors inside, prob white walls, white kitchen cabinets and light flecked bench top. ‘White-stained oak’ Ikea dining table, currently white melamine Ikea ‘Sigurd’ chairs .. but they might eventually have to go cos they get REALLY grotty!
So for the lights I’m picturing… maybe a bit of a colour, nothing too ritzy, not multiple bulbs.
Does that give you a bit to work with?!
Loving our nappy bag btw – literally use it everyday (except blessed days like today when I don’t have to leave the house!).
