Love this City (Part 1)

June 3, 2009

While cooking dinner for the masses (we have community group tonight) I started thinking about how much I love this part of the city and how often I take it for granted.

100_1380 This week alone my girls will rock climb, visit city farm, go to the opera house to see a play, train in martial arts, learnt musical instruments, get to walk to school, get time with Tim and I, have friends for dinner, have friends for lunch, have drama lessons, participate in toddler music classes, learn about Jesus, play in the park with friends, do school projects on the net, cook with me, play sport against neighbouring schools, attend birthday parties, sing in choir and write amazing stories. Not to mention be well fed, clothed, have warm beds to sleep in,  and a community that looks out for them.

I don’t write this big long list to big note myself but rather to encourage you to do the mental exercise for yourself (and your attachments) where ever you are.

How blessed are we!

I am so thankful to God for putting us here and for this city.

Have you moved? What’s happening with school?

Hi Rach nice to hear from you.
No, we haven’t moved. Just appreciating again where we are. The girls are back at the local. (explains a lot of the activity)
