They actually did… they had stars upon thars!*
November 16, 2010
This years Christmas decoration is here.
Will you have a harrysdesk star upon yars?
Each original star is handmade from my favourite medium…. men’s neckties.
Black on one side and yellow/gold on the other.
Tim, my lovely husband, has written an accompanying poem.
See if you can pick the bible references.
DAVID’S SON
He that lit David’s Star
Would by His Son
Birth from night
Stars of light
If you would like one, you can purchase them from my etsy store.
Some of you might have been around last year to witness the first upcycled Christmas Decorations by harrysdesk. They are available with an accompanying poem written my my friend at 168hr Nicole Starling. You can read it here.
Nic is also giving one of these new decorations away. Pop over to her blog and see what you have to do to be in the running.
* This is a quote form one of my favourite Dr Suess books ‘The Sneetches”

Love the old and the new
Love the poem too
Off to order
Soon
I like your little poetic piece as well. I will pass on the compliments to Tim.

P.S. I would have written this reply as a poem….. but poetry …. well, let’s just say… I’m good at other things.
Great design.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
Love, Susan.
